CGI Proxy

CGI proxies are considered the easiest to use, and many are known as "anonymizers." An encrypted web form is embedded in a web page. Access to the CGI (Common Gateway Interface) proxy is provided to the user as an ordinary web page. Most often, you can find a search box where you have to enter the site of interest on such resources. After that, one may visit it anonymously.

This type of proxy is straightforward to use, but its functionality is limited and suitable only for visiting resources anonymously. Their undeniable advantage is that you do not need to turn off anti-virus and other security programs to use anonymizers. In fact, no additional software is loaded on the computer; the user just gets the opportunity to visit all the exciting resources anonymously while remaining protected by all their "protections".

In terms of anonymity, CGI proxies can be of several kinds:

Transparent. The administration of a visited resource is informed that a proxy is being used and provided with the visitor's real IP.
Anonymous. The destination server knows the user reached the resource through a proxy, but the actual IP is not displayed.
Elite. This is the only proxy type that guarantees maximal anonymity. It does not provide any data to the target resource; a user working via an elite proxy is indistinguishable from other visitors.

You do not need to change your browser settings or install additional software to use CGI-server, but not all sites will be available. The server must download the desired page, remake it for yourself, and give the user the final form. However, some resources use modern technology, and therefore, anonymizers cannot transform all sites for themselves.
